boxed invitation

I have to say, never did I imagine that designing custom invitations would require me to work in my kitchen, but as you may remember, we created these custom faux sushi invitations a while back (required some cooking), and now…well, now we’ve created these super cool, incredibly fun slip ‘n slide floating invitations!!!

We designed Stephanie and Adam’s wedding invitations (featured on our home page…pink and green), and were thrilled when she asked us to design birthday party invitations for her hubby’s 25th birthday! I love it when a client is up for anything, and when we pitched this idea to Stephanie, she said “make it happen!”…and we did!

Guests opened the coordinating invitation box to a find a set of swimmer’s goggles letting them know that they were invited. The goggles were wrapped around a coordinating beach towel that was wrapped around the invitation!

The invitation is actually floating in the water, and is surrounded by floating palm trees, flamingos, coconuts, birthday cakes…you name it! As long as it fit the theme, we floated it!!

Sushi Anyone?

by admin on April 19, 2009

Obviously, we love the opportunity to get super-duper creative with our invitation designs, and we were fortunate enough to have that opportunity once again when we were asked to create custom sushi and wine themed bridal shower invitations for one of our clients.

We had a blast coming up with this idea, and then working to put it all together in a fun, creative and eye-popping presentation!  We created the faux sushi right in our kitchen, and as you can probably tell, the sushi is a delicious mix of rice krispy treats, jelly-worms, swedish fish and fruit roll-ups!  YUMMY!  We even created mini-chopsticks to finish off the very last detail.  The faux sushi was placed on the printed invitation layer, which was then adhered to a matchstick backing.  The entire set was then mailed in a natural kraft box with coordinating satin ribbon wrap and custom mailing label.  What a treat to receive!

Featured in Gulf Coast Weddings Magazine

by admin on January 23, 2009

One of our custom invitations is featured in another local magazine…Florida Gulf Coast Weddings!  Yippeee!

This custom boxed invitation was created for our friends at Limelight Photography for thier vendor appreciation yacht party.  Rebecca and Mike have exquisite taste (as you can tell from thier amazing skills behind the lens) and wanted the event theme and atmosphere portrayed through a unique and creative invitation.  So, the bigger the better!

We created a custom 6 x 9 layered invitation using metallic lime green and textured natural white cardstock.  Then, we mounted the invitation and colorful layers to a hand-cut, chocolate brown matchstick backing adorned with coordinating lime green satin ribbon.  For an added element of personality, we embellished the printed layer with a natural white starfish.  The entire invitation was then placed in a custom built kraft boxed wrapped with both chocolate brown and lime green satin ribbons.  To top it all off, we placed a large white natural starfish on the front of the box for each guest.

Since we first designed and created this custom invitation, it has become one of our most popular tropical themed wedding invitation sets!  We’re looking forward to creating a similar set for Alanna and Nick in the next few months, so check back soon to see how we mix-it-up to fit with their vintage-tropical theme.
