 We are so thankful for all of the wonderful clients and vendors we get to work with everyday, and we’re equally excited to share some pictures from a recent event planned by one of these fabulous vendors: Samara Anderson with Voila Events + Design. 

We’ve known Samara for almost 2 years, and have always enjoyed each opportunity to design stationery for her events.  Samara has an eye for creative detail, and she is always open for new, fresh ideas for her clients and events.  It seems every idea we bring to her is welcomed with a huge smile and a “go for it”’ cheer!

Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to create custom “barnyard brunch” invitations for one of her Nashville brides, along with favor tags and menu cards.  The custom invitation featured a mix of rustic (twine, hatch-show print) and vintage (lace) elements to introduce the venue and theme.

Most recently, we designed invitations and event stationery for a Rehearsal Dinner with a nautical chic theme that fit perfectly with the venue, The St. Petersburg Yacht Club.

First, we created custom nautical invitations that introduced guests to the theme with a custom “monogram” that was actually the nautical flag that represents the bride and groom’s first initials.  Then, we added hand-tied miniature rope knots to each invitation to add that extra touch of creativity.

For the celebration, we created custom escort flags to not only help guests find their tables but also to indicate their menu choice to the staff at the Yacht Club!  Each flag indicated a choice of steak, chicken or vegetarian meal by depicting the nautical alphabet flag for the letters S, C and V.  Above each flag, Samara attached a pennant with the name of the guest and their table number.

Accordingly, the guests found their table numbers depicted by the nautical flag that represents the correlating number.  No detail went uncovered! 

Samara maintained the chic feel by placing hydrangea in mason jars and by then setting them around a candle lit lantern.  Each table had a different lantern, and nautical rope was used to tie around each mason jar opening.

 The groom and his family who hosted this event are from Lincoln, Nebraska. Small jars of blueberry jam were adorned with custom favor tags that read “Made with love in Lincoln, Nebraska,” and the jars were at each place setting for the guests to take home.  Also at each place setting was a napkin tied with a nautical rope “napkin ring”!
